| All About Me |
| When I was 14 years old, my father gave me an old Minolta SRT101 camera. I have been taking pictures ever since. After graduating from SFSU with a degree in psychology, I set off to backpack through Central and South America, photographing the interesting characters that I met along the way. Through photography, I learned more about people than any psychology book or class could ever teach me. I came to believe that everyone has an interesting story to tell. As a photographer, I get to connect with my subjects, interpreting their realities through my creative vision. I see beauty and humor everywhere, and that is what I aim to capture in my work. I honed my craft at FIT and City College, and then went on to assist some of the most sought after photographers in the business, including Art Streiber, Amy Arbus and Kwaku Alston. Working with such established professionals enabled me to build upon my artistic talents with technical expertise and knowledge about the business of photography: from technical lighting to managing a shoot and working with clients to satisfy their needs. Today, I have built a diverse portfolio, having shot work for clients such as American Express, HBO, Univision, Urban Latino Magazine, and Anthem Magazine. I am passionate about creating honest images full of imagination, discovery, and adventure that illustrate life in all of its complexities. It is always the greatest compliment when someone opens up and allows me to look into their world. There is nothing that I would rather do. Except be a point guard for the LA Lakers. By the way I've got more hair than that photo to the right-> |
